Architectural Photography for the MSU Research Foundation at the TechSmith HQ

LOCATIONS DETAILS: The new TechSmith HQ is a 63,000-square-foot state-of-the-art software development headquarters optimized for hybrid work. It opens on the MSU campus at the corner of Crescent Road and Harrison; Collaboration with MSU expects to attract College of Engineering students and graduates preparing for high-tech careers.

PHOTOGRAPHY DETAILS: This was a 2-day project for the MSU Research Foundation that was shot in different seasons. The majority of the interiors were photographed soon after occupancy in the Winter and the exteriors were captured in the Summer when the landscaping has been completed. We wanted to show people using the spaces, so models were used to occupy the spaces. This involved good planning, coaching, and staging of each scene. 

The MSU Foundation developed and owns the building that TechSmith has now occupied.  SmithGroup is the architect of record, Christman Company served as construction manager for the project, planning was by Kramer Management Group, and Pace Howe Design provided interior design services.
